      Randomness (Feb 2008)

OK, so here's another entry without a real theme, but we like a lot of these pictures and have to post them.

When we got home from Christmas in Maryland, we opened all the Lincoln Logs the kids got (3 big canisters) and let the kids play with them for a few minutes before Jen and I kicked them out and built our English Manor which we are convinced we'll own someday (this may be the closest we get).

Elizabeth on her blessing day. We had some friends (from Yelm, Richard and Brianne) come over to help with the blessing.

      Elizabeth the boxer.

Just being innocent with a little mischief in her eyes. She knows we're wrapped around her fingers and here she is saying, "Excellent" (if you know where that's from).

Elizabeth on a blanket made by her Great Grandma Yukish.

Here is a cute video of Elizabeth learning how to laugh. This happened a few weeks ago and she is very cute now when she giggles. Video

National Air & Space Museum (Dulles Annex)

During our stay in Maryland, we visited the new annex of the Air & Space museum. This may or may not have been mostly in my own interest, but the kids enjoyed it too. Here are some pictures of the day.

Two things I love the most: my kids and the F4U Corsair (WWII). Did you know: During World War II, it was the fighter the Japanese feared the most. The U.S. Navy counted an 11:1 kill ratio for every F4U shot down (from Wikipedia).

The prototype atmospheric test space shuttle Enterprise. "It's bigger than it looks on TV" says Jen. The kids thought it was cool when we told them it flies into space.

Anthony liked these model rockets. Probably because they look like bullets or guns (which he turns everything into nowadays).

The museum has a high observation deck built next to the Dulles airport so you can watch airplanes take off and land. It was a slow time of day, but we saw a few. It was pretty cool.

There was obviously much more to the day than this (like eating at McDonald's at the museum where the prices are about tripled), but these are just a few of the cute pictures we liked.
