Matthew has been excited about Kindergarten since his last day of preschool.  He kept asking if Kathryn's school was his school yet.  The day after we bought him a back pack he  loaded it with school supplies and wore it all day.

This is right after I dropped him off at school.  He is little shy when he is in a new situation.  He wouldn't even look at me.  But he had a very fun day.  He said that he liked snack time and recess the best!  That is Matthew!  It is pretty strange having only two kids at home in the morning.  Elizabeth took a nap and Anthony and I made popsicles. He kept asking when Matthew and Kathryn would be home and when did he get to go to school. 

 Kathryn finally got to go back to school.  She was so excited.  She came in to my room at 6 am to let me know that she was dressed and ready for school. . .the bus was not coming until 8:45!  While we were doing her hair she informed me that she has been waiting her whole life to go on a school bus and she was so excited.   I have been looking forward to Kathryn going to all day school for a long time.  I was not expecting to have such a hard time with it.  She is just growing up so fast.  Matthew had Kindergarten open house the same morning but his first day of school wasn't until Wednesday.  I will do another posting for his first day.

The bus finally comes!!

After Kathryn got on the bus, Matthew and I ran back to the van and followed her to school.  I know I am pitiful!  This is a picture of her getting off the bus at school. 

All the first graders then met in the cafeteria and got to meet their new teacher.  Ali is one of Kathryn's good friends from church.  They are so happy they are in the same class together.

I walked over to the bus stop, with my camera, to pick Kathryn up after her long day at school.  When she drove up and I took the following picture she was saying, "Mom, you don't have to take so many pictures." 

So I told her to give me one more picture of how her first day of school went.  I think the next pictures says it all.
