Now you really know I am going backwards!  Matthew is a 1st grader this year, which means that for the first time 3 years I don't have to drive a kid to kindergarten or preschool!  I must say that the school day is way too long.  I wish it was 2 hours shorter, but the kids absolutely love school.  They are both doing really well.

This is getting on the bus.  It was Matthew's first time!

I thought it was cute that they sat together.  Kathryn said she would show him what to do.  They don't sit together anymore:)

I could not ask for a better man!  Derek is a wonderful husband and father.  The kids (as you can see from the pictures) just love their Papa so much! 

Derek does not like cake anymore (is that a sign that he is getting old?).  He asked for a pumpkin pie this year!
