During our stay in Maryland, we visited the new annex of the Air & Space museum. This may or may not have been mostly in my own interest, but the kids enjoyed it too. Here are some pictures of the day.

Two things I love the most: my kids and the F4U Corsair (WWII). Did you know: During World War II, it was the fighter the Japanese feared the most. The U.S. Navy counted an 11:1 kill ratio for every F4U shot down (from Wikipedia).

The prototype atmospheric test space shuttle Enterprise. "It's bigger than it looks on TV" says Jen. The kids thought it was cool when we told them it flies into space.

Anthony liked these model rockets. Probably because they look like bullets or guns (which he turns everything into nowadays).

The museum has a high observation deck built next to the Dulles airport so you can watch airplanes take off and land. It was a slow time of day, but we saw a few. It was pretty cool.

There was obviously much more to the day than this (like eating at McDonald's at the museum where the prices are about tripled), but these are just a few of the cute pictures we liked.
